TRUSTING GOD.

How to Trust God During Difficult Times

Difficult times can shake our faith. When life feels overwhelming, whether through loss, disappointment, or uncertainty.it’s easy to wonder where God is. But trusting Him in such moments is not only possible but also necessary.

1. Remember God’s Promises

God never promised a life free from troubles, but He did promise to be with us.

Isaiah 41:10 says:

"Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

Even when it feels like God is silent, He is working behind the scenes.

2. Pray Honestly

God wants us to pour out our hearts to Him. Look at David in the Psalms—he cried out to God in frustration, sorrow, and fear, but he always ended his prayers in trust.

When things are tough, don’t stop praying. Even if all you can say is, “Lord, help me,” He hears.

3. Look Back on God’s Faithfulness

Think about past challenges where you thought there was no way out, yet God made a way.

 Lamentations 3:22-23 reminds us:

"Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness."

If He did it before, He can do it again!

4. Surround Yourself with Faithful People

It’s easy to feel discouraged when you're alone. Find encouragement in fellow believers who can remind you of God’s love.

This could be through church, a prayer partner, or a Christian group like The Peculiar People (TPP).

5. Obey Even When You Don’t Understand

Sometimes, trusting God means walking in obedience even when you don’t see the full picture.

Proverbs 3:5-6 teaches:

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight."

Abraham obeyed God even when asked to sacrifice Isaac, he trusted God had a plan. So should we.

6. Read and Meditate on God’s Word

The Bible is filled with encouragement for difficult times.

Psalm 46:1 says:

"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."

Romans 8:28 assures us:

"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose."

Let God’s Word be your anchor.

7.Worship in the Storm

Worship is a weapon against doubt.

When Paul and Silas were in prison, they sang praises to God (Acts 16:25).

Even in chains, they trusted that God was in control.

Worship shifts our focus from our problems to God’s power.

Finally.

No matter what you’re going through, God is still good. Your pain has a purpose, and your trials are temporary. Keep holding on.He is faithful to the end.
